Plain English summary: Movviva uses personal information to provide the site, email forms, Movement Profile, emails, training plans, app features, subscriptions, support, safety, security, analytics, and product improvement. We do not sell your personal information. Employers never receive individual workout logs unless you expressly authorize it.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Movviva ("Movviva," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, email forms, Movement Profile, emails, app previews, accounts, subscriptions, training plans, workout logging features, and related services (the "Services").
Some information connected to fitness, movement, wellness, workout logs, and body-related goals may be considered consumer health data under certain laws. Please also review our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact information, such as email address and name if you provide it.
- Get-started form information, such as your goal, plan interest, source, and signup time.
- Movement Profile information, such as goals, experience level, schedule, session length, training location, available equipment, mobility priorities, confidence level, consistency challenges, and activity level.
- Account information, such as login method, account settings, preferences, and subscription plan.
- Workout information, if app features are enabled, such as assigned track, focus block, exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration, effort/RPE, completion status, skipped or missed workouts, equipment used, notes, and plan changes.
- Communications, such as support requests, feedback, survey responses, and messages you send us.
- Payment-related information, when subscriptions are enabled. Payment card details are processed by our payment processor; we do not intend to store full card numbers on Movviva systems.
Please do not submit emergency information or detailed medical records. Movviva is not designed to collect diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, or clinical information.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information, such as browser type, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location from IP address, dates/times, and site performance.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used for site operation, form state, analytics, security, preferences, and product improvement.
- Log data used to detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, and secure the Services.
Information from third parties
Depending on the features you use, we may receive information from service providers such as email platforms, payment processors, authentication providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, app stores, or integrations you choose to connect in the future.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Services;
- process invite requests, Movement Profile results, trials, subscriptions, and account actions;
- generate training plans, workout recommendations, equipment swaps, weekly recaps, and plan explanations;
- send service, safety, billing, legal, invite, and product communications;
- send marketing emails where permitted and honor unsubscribe requests;
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- analyze usage, conversion, retention, and product performance;
- train, test, and improve product logic using aggregated, de-identified, or privacy-protective methods where appropriate;
- protect against fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access;
- comply with law, enforce terms, and protect rights and safety; and
- carry out any other purpose disclosed to you with your consent.
4. AI-assisted features
Movviva may use AI-assisted tools to summarize progress, explain plan changes, draft recap language, classify support requests, or help choose among approved training options. AI tools are not the source of medical or clinical advice, and they are not permitted to diagnose, treat, or prescribe care.
Where we use service providers to support AI-assisted features, we will use reasonable controls designed to protect personal information and limit use to providing or improving the Services, as described in this Policy and applicable provider terms.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers that help us host the site, send emails, authenticate users, process payments, provide analytics, operate databases, host videos, secure systems, and support customers;
- professional advisors, such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and security advisors;
- authorities, courts, or other parties where required by law or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the Services;
- successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets;
- third parties you choose to connect or authorize; and
- employers or organizations only in aggregate or participation-level form for Teams offerings, unless you expressly authorize individual sharing or law requires it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide choices required by law.
6. Consumer health data
Some fitness and wellness information may be considered consumer health data under certain state laws, even if Movviva is not a healthcare provider and even if HIPAA does not apply. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice provides additional information.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and support legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.
You may request deletion as described below. Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, such as transaction records, security logs, dispute records, or backups for a limited period.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping account access, devices, and login links secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information; opt out of certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a rights decision. To make a request, email [email protected].
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in the email. You may still receive transactional, service, legal, billing, or safety-related messages.
You may disable cookies through your browser settings, but some Services may not work properly. If analytics or cookie preference tools are added, additional controls may be provided.
10. State privacy notices
Residents of certain U.S. states, including California and other states with consumer privacy laws, may have additional rights. Movviva will honor applicable requests as required by law. We do not knowingly sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used in certain state privacy laws.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. International users
Movviva is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your location.
13. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, app stores, payment processors, analytics providers, video hosts, email platforms, or wearable/device services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate, such as by updating this page, changing the date above, or sending an email or in-product notice.
